इन्द्र उवाच । यदि तुष्टोसि देवेश कृपासिंधो महेश्वर । ब्रह्महत्या हि मां देव उद्वेजयति नित्यशः
indra uvāca | yadi tuṣṭosi deveśa kṛpāsiṃdho maheśvara | brahmahatyā hi māṃ deva udvejayati nityaśaḥ
อินทรากล่าวว่า: “หากพระองค์ทรงพอพระทัยในข้าพเจ้า โอ้เจ้าแห่งเทวะ โอ้มหาอิศวร มหาสมุทรแห่งกรุณา ขอพระองค์ทรงทราบเถิดว่า บาปแห่งพราหมณ์ฆาต (พรหมหัตยา) คอยรบกวนข้าพเจ้าอยู่เนืองนิตย์”
