कथाः पुण्या धर्मयुता रम्या व्यासमुखाच्छ्रुताः । धर्मकामार्थसंयुक्ताः सर्वाघौघविनाशिनीः

kathāḥ puṇyā dharmayutā ramyā vyāsamukhācchrutāḥ | dharmakāmārthasaṃyuktāḥ sarvāghaughavināśinīḥ

เรื่องเล่าเหล่านี้เป็นกุศลศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เปี่ยมด้วยธรรม และรื่นรมย์—ได้สดับจากโอษฐ์ของพระวยาสะเอง ประกอบด้วยธรรม กาม และอรรถ จึงทำลายกระแสแห่งบาปทั้งปวงสิ้น
