ครั้นถึงพระราชนิเวศน์ในวันจันทร์ ทั้งสองได้รับการต้อนรับด้วยอาคันตุกธรรมจากพราหมณ์ผู้ประเสริฐพร้อมภรรยา แล้วให้ล้างเท้าและถวายเกียรติแก่ทั้งคู่ตามธรรมเนียมแห่งแขกผู้มาเยือน
