तान्वेदान्देवदेवेश शीघ्रं मे दातुमर्हसि । जडान्धबधिरं सर्वं जगत्स्थावरजङ्गमम्
tānvedāndevadeveśa śīghraṃ me dātumarhasi | jaḍāndhabadhiraṃ sarvaṃ jagatsthāvarajaṅgamam
เพราะฉะนั้น ข้าแต่เทวะผู้เป็นเจ้าเหนือเทพทั้งปวง โปรดประทานพระเวทเหล่านั้นแก่ข้าพเจ้าโดยเร็วเถิด หากปราศจากพระเวท โลกทั้งมวล—ทั้งที่อยู่นิ่งและที่เคลื่อนไหว—ย่อมประหนึ่งเฉื่อยชา มืดบอด และหูหนวก
