ईश्वर उवाच । भोभोः प्रसन्नो नन्दीश वरं वृणु यथेप्सितम् । तपसा तेन तुष्टोऽहं तीर्थयात्राकृतेन ते

อีศวรตรัสว่า “โอ้ นันทิศะ เราพอพระทัยยิ่งนัก จงเลือกพรตามที่ปรารถนา ด้วยตบะของเจ้า และด้วยการจาริกไปยังตีรถะทั้งหลาย เราจึงอิ่มเอิบพอใจ”
