กาลก่อน นันที ผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งคณะบริวารพระศิวะ ตั้งแม่น้ำเรวา (นรมทา) ไว้เบื้องหน้าเป็นดั่งผู้นำทาง แล้วจาริกจากตีรถะหนึ่งสู่อีกตีรถะหนึ่ง บำเพ็ญตบะและพิชิตความลำบากแห่งตบะ
