प्रादुर्भावमिमं कौर्म्यं येऽधीयन्ते द्विजोत्तमाः । येऽपि शृण्वन्ति विद्वांसो मुच्यन्ते तेऽपि किल्बिषैः

prādurbhāvamimaṃ kaurmyaṃ ye'dhīyante dvijottamāḥ | ye'pi śṛṇvanti vidvāṃso mucyante te'pi kilbiṣaiḥ

โอ้ทวิชผู้ประเสริฐ ผู้ใดศึกษาคำบอกเล่าแห่งการอุบัติของกูรมะอวตารนี้ และแม้บัณฑิตผู้เพียงสดับฟัง ก็ย่อมพ้นจากบาปทั้งปวงโดยแท้
