ततो नदीः समुद्रांश्च संविभज्य पृथक्पृथक् । नर्मदामाह देवेशो गच्छ त्वं दक्षिणां दिशम्
tato nadīḥ samudrāṃśca saṃvibhajya pṛthakpṛthak | narmadāmāha deveśo gaccha tvaṃ dakṣiṇāṃ diśam
ครั้นแล้ว พระผู้เป็นใหญ่แห่งเทพทั้งหลายได้จัดสรรแม่น้ำและมหาสมุทรให้มีเขตแดนแยกกัน แล้วตรัสแก่นรมทา ว่า “เจ้าจงไปสู่ทิศใต้เถิด”
