किमर्थं कम्पते शैलः किमर्थं कम्पते धरा । किमर्थं कम्पते नागो मर्त्यः पातालमेव च । किं वा युगक्षयो देव तन्ममाख्यातुमर्हसि
kimarthaṃ kampate śailaḥ kimarthaṃ kampate dharā | kimarthaṃ kampate nāgo martyaḥ pātālameva ca | kiṃ vā yugakṣayo deva tanmamākhyātumarhasi
“เหตุใดภูผาจึงสั่นไหว เหตุใดแผ่นดินจึงสะเทือน เหตุใดพญานาค มนุษย์ และแม้แต่ปาตาลจึงหวั่นไหว หรือว่าเป็นกาลสิ้นยุคแล้วหรือ พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอพระองค์โปรดบอกข้าพระองค์เถิด”
