पुरा ऋषिगणाः सर्वे सेन्द्राश्चैव मरुद्गणाः । तापिता असुरैः सर्वैः क्षयं नीता ह्यनेकशः

purā ṛṣigaṇāḥ sarve sendrāścaiva marudgaṇāḥ | tāpitā asuraiḥ sarvaiḥ kṣayaṃ nītā hyanekaśaḥ

กาลครั้งโบราณ หมู่ฤๅษีทั้งปวง พร้อมทั้งพระอินทร์และหมู่มรุต ถูกเหล่าอสูรทั้งหลายเผาผลาญให้ระทม และถูกทำลายซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าด้วยวิถีมากมาย
