karuṇābhyudayaṃ nāma stotramidaṃ sarvasiddhidaṃ divyam | yaḥ paṭhati bhṛguṃ smarati ca śivalokamasau prayāti dehānte
Narrator (contextual; likely Sūta-style narration within the Revā Khaṇḍa frame)
Tirtha: Karuṇābhyudaya-stotra (within Revā-mahātmya context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A manuscript leaf titled ‘Karuṇābhyudaya’ glows; a devotee recites beside a lamp at the riverbank; above, a path of light leads to Śivaloka—Kailāsa-like realm—while Bhṛgu appears as a sage witnessing/being remembered.
Sacred recitation with remembrance (smaraṇa) is portrayed as a direct means to Śiva’s realm and spiritual fulfilment.
The focus is on the stotra’s merit rather than a named tīrtha; the setting remains within the Revā Khaṇḍa.
Paṭhana (recitation) of the Karuṇābhyudaya-stotra and smaraṇa (remembering) Bhṛgu are prescribed.
