Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Daśāśvamedha (contextual) / Narmadā tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Rājendra
Scene: A triptych-like visualization: (1) devotee chanting the tīrtha’s name with rosary, (2) pilgrims bathing at the ghāṭa under sunrise, (3) a serene deathbed scene at the riverbank with divine attendants guiding the soul upward—symbolizing svarga and final release.
Remembrance of the sacred (nāma) and tīrtha-practice (snāna) are portrayed as powerful means of purification and liberation.
The bathing place at Daśāśvamedha-tīrtha associated with Sarasvatī.
Snāna (bathing) at the site is explicitly linked with heavenly attainment; dying there is praised as leading to non-return (apunarbhava).
