sūrya uvāca | varaṃ varaya bhadraṃ te kiṃ te manasi vāñchitam | adeyamapi dāsyāmi brūhi māṃ tvaṃ ciraṃ kṛthāḥ
Sūrya (Ravi, Bhāskara)
Tirtha: Ādityeśvara (vowed darśana-object) at Revā-tīra (implied)
Type: temple
Listener: Jābāli
Scene: Anthropomorphic Sūrya with a radiant mandala, lotus and reins (or simply solar aura), addressing the ascetic with raised hand in boon-giving gesture; the ascetic stands with folded palms.
Divine grace responds to sincere austerity, and the deity invites the devotee to articulate a dharmic intention as a boon.
The exchange occurs within the Śukla-tīrtha/Ādityeśvara episode of the Revā Khaṇḍa (Narmadā sacred geography).
No ritual is prescribed; the verse frames the boon-granting moment following long tapas.
