“…ฉันใดก็ฉันนั้น โอ้เทพเจ้า โปรดปลดเปลื้องข้าจากภัยแห่งการเกิดในครรภ์” ด้วยการถวายเครื่องหอม ดอกไม้ และธูป เขาย่อมพ้นจากบาปทั้งปวง
Mārkaṇḍeya (continuing the prescribed prayer and rite)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (contextual)
Type: ghat
Scene: A devotee offers incense smoke, flower garlands, and sandal fragrance before a Śiva-liṅga, eyes moist, praying to be freed from the dangers of repeated birth.
Pilgrimage worship is aimed at inner liberation: one petitions Śiva to transcend the bondage of repeated birth, and ritual purity symbolizes ethical purification.
The rite continues at Ayonija Tīrtha within Revā-khaṇḍa.
Śiva pūjā using gandha (fragrance), puṣpa (flowers), and dhūpa (incense), along with a prayer for release from yoni-saṅkaṭa.
