मार्कण्डेय उवाच । उत्पत्तिकारणं ब्रह्मा देवदेवः प्रकीर्तितः । प्रथमं सर्वभूतानां चराचरजगद्गुरुः

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | utpattikāraṇaṃ brahmā devadevaḥ prakīrtitaḥ | prathamaṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ carācarajagadguruḥ

มารกัณฑेयกล่าวว่า “พรหมาได้รับการสรรเสริญว่าเป็นเหตุแห่งการสร้างสรรค์ เป็นเทวะเหนือเทวะ—เป็นครูปฐมแห่งสรรพสัตว์ทั้งปวงในโลกที่เคลื่อนไหวและไม่เคลื่อนไหวนี้”
