दे॒वस्य॑ त्वा सवि॒तुः प्र॑स॒वेऽश्विनो॑र्बा॒हुभ्यां॑ पू॒ष्णो हस्ता॑भ्याम् । आ द॑दे॒ नार्य॑सी॒दम॒हᳪ रक्ष॑सां ग्री॒वा अपि॑ कृन्तामि । यवो॑ऽसि य॒वया॒स्मद् द्वेषो॑ य॒वयारा॑तीर्दि॒वे त्वा॒ऽन्तरि॑क्षाय त्वा पृथि॒व्यै त्वा॒ शुन्ध॑न्ताँल्लो॒काः पि॑तृ॒षद॑नाः । पि॑तृ॒षद॑नमसि
devásya tvā savitúḥ prasavé’śvinor bāhúbhyāṃ pūṣṇó hástābhyām | ā́ dade nā́ryasīd idám aháṃ rákṣasāṃ grīvā́ ápi kṛntāmi | yávo’si yaváyāsmád dvéṣo yaváyārā́tīr divé tvā’ntárikṣāya tvā pṛthivyái tvā śúndhantāṃ lokā́ḥ pitṛ́ṣadanā́ḥ | pitṛ́ṣadanam asi
At the instigation of the divine Savitṛ, with the arms of the Aśvins, with the hands of Pūṣan, I take thee: let it not harm! Herewith I cut off the necks of the Rākṣasas. Thou art barley: drive thou away from us hatred, drive away malignity. For heaven thee, for mid-air thee, for earth thee: may the worlds, the seats of the Fathers, cleanse thee. Thou art the seat of the Fathers.
