Transliteration yéna r̄́ṣayas tápasā satrám ā́yan índhānā agníṃ svàrā́bharantaḥ | tásminn aháṃ ní dadhé nā́ke agníṃ yám āhúr mánavaḥ stī́rṇabarhiṣam
Translation ด้วยสิ่งนี้ เหล่าฤษีทั้งหลายด้วยตบัส (ความเพียรเผากิเลส) ได้ไปสู่สัตรา (พิธีประชุมบูชา) จุดอัคนีให้ลุก และนำพาแสงสวรรค์ให้เคลื่อนไปข้างหน้า. ณ ที่นั้นเอง บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าตั้งอัคนีไว้ในนากะ (ยอดฟ้า) คือไฟนั้นที่บุตรแห่งมนุเรียกว่า ‘อัคนีผู้มีบรรหิษ (หญ้าศักดิ์สิทธิ์) ปูไว้แล้ว’.
