Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Establishes daily sandhyā-upāsanā as a portable ‘tīrtha’ practice; regular arghya cultivates purity and receptivity to Śiva’s grace.
Role: teaching
Cosmic Event: Tri-sandhyā (prātaḥ–madhyāhna–sāyam) temporal sacralization
It teaches disciplined, time-bound devotion: focusing the mind (samādhāna) and honoring Śiva through daily sandhyā observances, integrating inner yoga with outer worship.
Śiva is approached here as Saguna—worshipped in a perceivable support (the solar maṇḍala), similar in principle to linga-upāsanā where the Infinite is adored through an auspicious form for concentration and grace.
Perform focused worship and offer arghya three times daily (morning, noon, evening) as part of sandhyā practice—ideally with mantra-japa (e.g., the Panchākṣarī) and a steady, composed mind.
