Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
Offering: naivedya
Cosmic Event: cosmic functions (sarga-ādi) framed as līlā for anugraha, not necessity
It teaches that Shiva, being pūrṇa (perfect and self-sufficient), does not act out of need; His cosmic functions culminate in anugraha—bestowing grace that loosens bondage (pāśa) and leads the soul (paśu) toward moksha.
Linga worship approaches the compassionate Lord who, though beyond need, accepts worship to uplift devotees; the verse frames Saguna worship as a channel of Shiva’s grace rather than a means to “benefit” the Divine.
Cultivate devotion aimed at receiving grace: daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a prayer for anugraha, and offer simple Linga-pūjā as an act of surrender rather than bargaining for worldly gain.
