लिङ्गप्रतिष्ठा-माहात्म्यम् / The Greatness of Liṅga Installation
मन्नियोगात्त्वमात्मानं त्रिधा कृत्वा जगत्त्रयम् । सृजस्यवसि चांते तत्पुनः प्रतिसृजस्यपि
manniyogāttvamātmānaṃ tridhā kṛtvā jagattrayam | sṛjasyavasi cāṃte tatpunaḥ pratisṛjasyapi
“ด้วยบัญชาของเรา เจ้าแบ่งภาวะของตนเป็นสาม แล้วให้กำเนิดสามโลก เจ้าคุ้มครองรักษา และในบั้นปลายก็ถอนคืนกลับสู่แหล่งเดิมอีกครั้ง”

Cosmic Event: kalpa-cycle (sṛṣṭi–sthiti–pralaya)
It establishes Shiva (Pati) as the supreme Lord whose ordinance empowers the cosmic functions—creation, preservation, and reabsorption—showing that all cosmic activity ultimately depends on Shiva’s sovereign will.
The Linga represents Shiva as the transcendent source and controller of the universe; worship of Saguna Shiva through the Linga trains the devotee to recognize that even Brahma’s creative power operates only under Shiva’s command.
Meditate on Shiva as the inner ruler (antaryāmin) while repeating the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating surrender (śaraṇāgati) to Shiva’s niyoga (divine ordinance) that governs all cycles of life and dissolution.
