It teaches that true Śaiva worship is complete only when Śiva is honored along with His Śakti—Pati with His inseparable power—guiding the devotee from outer ritual order (directional petals) toward inner wholeness and liberation.
The verse reflects Saguna upāsanā: worshiping Śiva with identifiable forms and epithets within a structured maṇḍala/lotus arrangement, which commonly accompanies Liṅga-pūjā and mantra-japa, stabilizing devotion and concentration.
Perform lotus/maṇḍala-based directional worship: offer reverence on the west petal to Śiva with Śakti, and on the north petal to Śiva as ‘Ekanetra,’ using mantra, flowers, and focused visualization as part of pūjā or dhyāna.
