Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
It teaches a graded, reverential approach to Śiva-upāsanā: after establishing the central worship, the devotee honors realized sages (the Kumāras) and cosmic progenitors (Prajāpatis), acknowledging that all knowledge and creation function under the Lord (Pati) and culminate in devotion to Śiva.
The mention of the “third enclosure” indicates an āvaraṇa-pūjā pattern around the liṅga, a Saguna mode of worship where attendant beings are honored as Śiva’s order and retinue—supporting focused devotion while keeping Śiva as the supreme center.
Perform āvaraṇa-pūjā: in the third circuit, offer worship (flowers, water, mantra) to the four Kumāras, then to the Prajāpatis—ideally alongside steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to maintain Śiva-centered contemplation.
