The Procedure of Āvaraṇa (Enclosure) Worship
guhyādguhyataraṃ kṛṣṇa sarvatra parameśvare | śive bhaktirna saṃdehastayā bhakto vimucyate
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not a site-specific (sthala) passage; it teaches the universal secret (guhyatara) that Śiva, as Parameśvara, is omnipresent and grants liberation through bhakti.
Significance: Frames bhakti to omnipresent Śiva as a direct means to mokṣa; pilgrimage is secondary to inner surrender.
Type: stotra
It declares that the highest, most confidential spiritual truth is all-pervading Śiva-bhakti; devotion to Pati (Śiva) directly becomes the liberating means that cuts the bonds (pāśa) and frees the soul (paśu).
By affirming Śiva as ‘present everywhere,’ it supports Saguna worship—especially Linga-upāsanā—as a concrete focus through which the devotee approaches the all-pervading Parameśvara and attains release.
The takeaway is steady bhakti expressed through daily Śiva-pūjā and japa—especially the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—with supportive Shaiva observances like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to continuity of devotion.
