Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā teaching on ritual and inner contemplation)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It teaches that outer ritual (pūjā and homa) must culminate in inner realization: the disciple’s soul is to be contemplated as entering stable establishment in Śiva (Pati), loosening the bonds (pāśa) that bind the individual (paśu).
Pratiṣṭhā implies establishing sacred presence; in Saguna worship this is linked with linga-pratiṣṭhā and pūjā, but the verse emphasizes that the true ‘installation’ is also internal—establishing the disciple’s consciousness in Śiva through guided contemplation.
Perform the concluding worship and a homa with three oblations, then practice bhāvanā: visualize the disciple’s self entering and becoming firmly established in Śiva during the consecration, aligning ritual action with meditative absorption.
