It presents the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on disciplined worship: devotion is made effective when performed through vidhi (right method), where the guru prepares the disciple through consecrated fire, oblation, and orderly seating—outer ritual supporting inner purification and Shiva-grace.
The Lord is worshipped here in a consecrated medium—Śiva’s presence invoked in the sacred fire—showing Saguna upāsanā (worship with form/attributes) where Shiva is approached through a ritually established locus, akin to Linga worship where Shiva is invoked and honored according to āgamic procedure.
A guru-led Shaiva rite involving prescribed worship, three āhutis (oblations) into the Śiva-fire, and formally seating the disciple—suggesting initiation-oriented practice supported by mantra-japa and disciplined observance rather than casual devotion.
