शिवसंस्कार-दीक्षानिरूपणम् (Śivasaṃskāra and the Typology of Dīkṣā)
yasya saṃjāyate prajñā tasya nāsti parājayaḥ | manasā yastu saṃskāraḥ kriyate yogavartmanā
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Ishana
Significance: Teaches that inner saṃskāra through yoga and arising prajñā leads to invincibility against spiritual downfall; supports pilgrims/sādhakas to prioritize inner transformation alongside outer rites.
Role: liberating
It teaches that when prajñā—clear, liberating insight into Pati (Shiva) and the bondage of pāśa—awakens, the seeker is no longer overcome by inner downfall; yogic inner purification becomes the stable ground for liberation.
Linga-worship and devotion to Saguna Shiva steady the mind and generate sattva; that steadiness ripens into prajñā, after which the devotee’s practice becomes inwardly established and no longer shaken by obstacles.
It points to yogic mental discipline—japa of Shiva-mantra (especially the Panchakshara), meditation on Shiva, and consistent inner purification; external supports like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa may be used to reinforce steadiness and recollection.
