It explains the Shaiva framework of bondage: the soul is obscured by māyā (as Prakṛti) and tied through root karmas, while Śiva remains the supreme Lord who governs and ultimately enables liberation.
Worship of Śiva—often through the Liṅga as Saguna Īśvara—turns the mind from māyā and karma toward the Lord who is the inner mover, making devotion and surrender a practical means to loosen bondage.
A key takeaway is japa and contemplation of Śiva as the indwelling Īśvara (e.g., steady Panchākṣarī japa—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to transcend māyā’s veiling and purify karmic impressions.
