Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: panchakshara
Role: teaching
It teaches tattva-śuddhi—purifying the embodied principles that bind the soul (paśu) through mantra-infused worship, aligning the seeker toward Shiva (Pati) and loosening the bonds (pāśa).
The oblation with the root-mantra is an act of Saguna Shiva worship performed with form and rite, yet its intended fruit is inner transformation—purification of the tattvas—leading the mind toward Shiva’s higher, transcendent realization.
Perform homa using samid and proper offerings while mentally repeating the mula-mantra and contemplating the purification of one’s inner tattvas; it can be paired with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as the sustaining recollection.
