Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Cosmic Event: kalpānta (end of a kalpa) leading into re-manifestation of cosmic offices
It establishes Śiva (Rudra/Parameṣṭhin) as Pati—the supreme Lord whose grace (prasāda/anugraha) is the decisive power behind cosmic manifestation, even of Brahmā and Viṣṇu, pointing seekers toward surrender and liberation through His favor.
By presenting Rudra as the source of the cosmic functions, the verse supports Saguna worship—especially the Śiva-liṅga—as a concrete focus for devotion to the transcendent Lord whose formless supremacy is approached through a sanctified form.
The implied practice is wholehearted surrender (sarvātmanā) expressed through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), along with Śiva-upāsanā such as liṅga-pūjā and the attitude of seeking Śiva’s prasāda as the means to inner purification and mokṣa.
