Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Emphasizes dīrgha-kāla-niṣṭhā (long perseverance) in worship: sustained caryā/kriyā matures the paśu and culminates in Śiva’s gracious response.
It highlights steadfast, long-term Shiva-upāsanā: sustained devotion and disciplined observance mature the soul (paśu) toward Shiva’s grace (pati-anugraha), which is central to Shaiva Siddhanta.
The verse emphasizes worship through “many procedures,” aligning with Saguna Shiva worship—especially Linga-pūjā performed with varied scriptural rites, offerings, and vows as a means to approach the transcendent Lord.
Regular, methodical Shiva worship over time—daily pūjā with mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara), along with vrata/niyama-based observances—showing consistency rather than a single occasional rite.
