राहोर्विमोचनानन्तरं जलन्धरस्य सैन्योद्योगः — Rahu’s Aftermath and Jalandhara’s Mobilization
जलंधर उवाच । निर्गच्छंत्वखिला दैत्याः कालनेमिमुखाः खलु । तथा शुंभनिशुम्भाद्या वीरास्स्वबलसंयुताः
jalaṃdhara uvāca | nirgacchaṃtvakhilā daityāḥ kālanemimukhāḥ khalu | tathā śuṃbhaniśumbhādyā vīrāssvabalasaṃyutāḥ
ชลันธระกล่าวว่า “ให้เหล่าไทตยะทั้งปวง โดยมีกาลเนมิเป็นผู้นำ ออกเดินทัพไป และให้วีรชนอย่างศุมภะกับนิศุมภะ พร้อมกองกำลังของตน เคลื่อนพลตามไปด้วย”

The verse portrays the outward surge of asuric will—power organized around ego and conquest—standing in contrast to Shaiva Siddhanta’s ideal of surrender to Pati (Shiva) and the purification of the soul (paśu) from bondage (pāśa).
In the Yuddha narrative, asuras marshal external force, while devotees turn to Saguna Shiva—often through Linga worship—for inner strength, protection, and the grace that subdues pride and restores dharma.
A practical takeaway is to counter ‘mobilized ego’ with disciplined japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and steadying worship (arcana) of Shiva, optionally supported by Tripundra (bhasma) and Rudraksha as aids to remembrance and restraint.
