Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Significance: Merit (puṇya), auspiciousness (śubha), and social-spiritual renown (yaśas) accrue through proper dravya-offerings in Śiva-pūjā, reflecting the Purāṇic linkage of bhakti with visible dharmic fruits.
Offering: pushpa
The verse highlights that sincere Saguna worship of Śiva through specific sacred offerings produces śubha (auspiciousness) and yāśas (uplifting renown), indicating dharmic harmony and grace arising from devotion.
It is a phala-śruti for Linga/Saguna-Śiva pūjā: particular flowers and ritual substances are taught as pleasing to Śiva, reinforcing that material offerings, when offered with bhakti and mantra, become a means to receive Śiva’s anugraha (grace).
Perform Śiva-pūjā by offering dhattūra and agastya-flowers to the Śiva-liṅga while reciting the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), maintaining purity, steadiness of mind, and devotion.
