पुष्पार्पण-विनिर्णयः
Determination of Flower-Offerings to Śiva
पंचमं च यदा लक्षं फलं यच्छत्यसंशयम् । अनेनैव तु मंत्रेण दशलक्षे फलं भवेत्
paṃcamaṃ ca yadā lakṣaṃ phalaṃ yacchatyasaṃśayam | anenaiva tu maṃtreṇa daśalakṣe phalaṃ bhavet
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Emphasizes niścaya (certainty) of mantra-phala and the idea of ‘fuller fruition’ with intensified practice—suggesting maturation from partial boons to more complete grace.
Type: mahamrityunjaya
It teaches that mantra-sādhana matures through disciplined repetition: specific milestones (like five lakhs) reliably yield spiritual results, and greater completion (ten lakhs) brings a fuller, more stabilized fruition—supporting steady bhakti and inner purification toward Shiva-realization.
In Saguna Shiva worship—often centered on the Śiva-liṅga—mantra japa is a primary upāsanā. The verse emphasizes that consistent repetition of Shiva’s mantra, performed with devotion and purity, concretizes grace and results in the devotee’s life, aligning outer worship with inner remembrance.
A structured japa-anushthāna: repeat the Shiva mantra in counted lakhs (especially 5 and 10 lakhs), ideally with daily discipline, mental focus (dhyāna), and devotional intent (bhakti), treating the count as a vow that ripens spiritual fruit.
