bhuktimuktiphalaṃ dehi gṛhītvārghaṃ namostu te | tato deyaṃ śivāyaiva naivedyaṃ vividhaṃ śubham
Suta Goswami (narrating prescribed worship in the Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa context)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Not a specific Jyotirliṅga episode; the verse occurs in a general Śiva-pūjā vidhi where arghya and naivedya are offered to Śiva for bhukti (abhyudaya) and mukti (niḥśreyasa).
Significance: Frames Śiva as the giver of both worldly welfare and liberation; reinforces the Siddhānta ideal that proper worship (kriyā) culminates in grace (anugraha) leading to release from pāśa.
Mantra: भुक्तिमुक्तिफलं देहि … नमोऽस्तु ते
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It frames Shiva as the giver of both bhukti (rightful worldly well-being) and mukti (liberation), teaching that devotion expressed through reverent offerings culminates in grace that frees the soul from bondage.
Arghya and naivedya are concrete acts of Saguna worship (puja to Shiva as the accessible Lord), through which the devotee approaches the transcendent Pati (Shiva) who alone can bestow liberation.
Offer arghya with a prayer for bhukti and mukti, then present pure, auspicious naivedya to Shiva; this aligns with regular Linga-puja, ideally supported by mantra-japa such as the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
