vyāpakaṃ devi māṃ dṛṣṭvā nityaṃ sarvatra sarvadā | nirbhayatvaṃ sadā loke smaraṇaṃ tadudāhṛtam
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Significance: Smaraṇa of Śiva as vyāpaka (all-pervading) yields nirbhayatva—fearlessness—seen as a fruit of grace and loosening of pāśa (bondage).
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It defines true Shiva-smaraṇa as the lived recognition of Shiva’s omnipresence; when the devotee sees Pati (Shiva) everywhere, worldly fear loosens because one rests in the Lord as the constant refuge and inner witness.
Linga-worship trains the mind to perceive the one Lord behind all forms. From the Saguna support (Linga, mantra, puja), the devotee matures into the insight of Shiva as vyāpaka—present in all places and beings—making remembrance unbroken.
Practice continuous japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with dhyāna on Shiva as all-pervading; during daily acts, repeatedly recollect “Shiva is here,” which is presented as the direct cause of steadiness and fearlessness.
