It teaches that the Devī’s names, as they become established in the world, function as śakti-filled supports for devotion—granting auspiciousness (maṅgala) and removing sorrow (duḥkha) through remembrance and praise.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, Saguna worship includes honoring Shiva together with His Śakti; chanting the Devī’s names complements Linga worship by invoking the compassionate power through which Shiva’s grace becomes accessible to devotees.
Nāma-japa—repeating the Devī’s auspicious names with faith—is implied as a simple sādhana for relief from distress and for cultivating maṅgala; it may be paired with Shiva-focused practice such as Panchakshara japa.
