Suta Goswami (concluding chapter colophon, traditionally recited in the Purāṇic narration to the sages)
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter, reminding the listener that Purāṇic wisdom is transmitted in a sacred lineage and organized as a purposeful teaching—here, the Nārada–Himālaya dialogue that supports devotion to Śiva and the unfolding of Pārvatī’s divine role.
While the verse itself is a chapter-ending marker, it situates the narrative within the Rudra Saṃhitā and Pārvatī-khaṇḍa, where Saguna Śiva (as the personal Lord) is approached through devotion, vows, and sacred dialogue—frameworks that commonly culminate in Linga-centered worship and Śiva-bhakti.
As a colophon it does not prescribe a specific rite, but it implicitly encourages śravaṇa (reverent listening/recitation) of the Śiva Purāṇa as a devotional practice—often paired in Shaiva tradition with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and remembrance of Śiva as Pati, the liberating Lord.
