Description of Pārvatī’s Childhood/Birth Festivities
dṛṣṭiḥ putravato'pyadrestasmiṃstṛptiṃ jagāma na | apatye pārvatītyākhye sarvasaubhāgya saṃyute

The verse highlights that true fulfillment arises not merely from worldly lineage, but from the descent of divine auspiciousness (saubhāgya) that supports dharma and ultimately leads the household toward Śiva’s grace—here embodied in Pārvatī, Śiva’s śakti.
Pārvatī’s advent signals the unfolding of Śiva’s saguna līlā in the world: through Śakti, devotion matures and the path to worship—often centered on the Śiva-liṅga—becomes complete, since Śiva is approached with reverence and Śakti with loving devotion.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate saubhāgya and inner steadiness through Śiva-bhakti—daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple liṅga-pūjā with purity of intention.
