Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse highlights that Śiva, though Paramēśvara (Pati, the Supreme), willingly honors loka-ācāra and vidhi to uphold dharma—teaching that spiritual authority is expressed through disciplined, compassionate order rather than disregard for sacred norms.
It supports Saguna worship by showing the Lord engaging in visible, rule-based action (vidhi). Linga-pūjā likewise emphasizes approaching Śiva through prescribed methods—purity, mantra, and proper observance—so devotion becomes steady and transformative.
The takeaway is adherence to vidhi in practice: perform Shiva-pūjā with regulated steps—mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), clean conduct, and consistent observance—rather than casual or impulsive worship.
