युद्धप्रारम्भवर्णनम् — Description of the Commencement of Battle

तदा दुंदुभयो नेदुर्भेरीतूर्याण्यनेकशः । वीणावेणुमृदंगानि तथा गंधर्वनिस्स्वनाः

tadā duṃdubhayo nedurbherītūryāṇyanekaśaḥ | vīṇāveṇumṛdaṃgāni tathā gaṃdharvanissvanāḥ

ครั้งนั้นกลองดุนทุภีดังกึกก้อง; กลองศึกและแตรพิณพาทย์นานาชนิดบรรเลงซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า ทั้งวีณา ขลุ่ย และมฤทังคะก็ดังขึ้น พร้อมเสียงกังวานอันไพเราะของเหล่าคันธรรพะ।
