मा नो हेतिर्विवस्वत आदित्याः कृत्रिमा शरुः । पुरा नु जरसो वधीत् ॥
Transliteration
mā́ no hetír vivásvata ādityāḥ kṛ́trimā śár uḥ | purā́ nu járaso vadhīt ||
Translation
ข้าแต่อาทิตยะทั้งหลาย (Ādityas) ขออย่าให้อาวุธของวิวัสวัต (Vivasvat) กระทบเรา และขออย่าให้ศรศัตรูที่มนุษย์ประดิษฐ์ขึ้นทำร้ายเรา ขออย่าให้มันสังหารเราก่อนกาล ก่อนที่เราจะสุกงอมพ้นแรงกดทับแห่งความชรา
