Inside Sukta 25

How it unfolds

  1. Where it opens

Indra’s great help is invoked as battle-hosts converge in a single fury; his lightning-heroism is foregrounded.

  2. Development

The hymn turns from praise to disciplined petition: Indra’s mind and power must not scatter; he must guide and guard the collective effort.

  3. Climax

A strong, enduring ‘okaḥ’ (dwelling/shelter) is requested—protection and support ‘through all the days,’ expressing total reliance on Indra’s saving power.

  4. Where it settles

The closing prayer asks for choicest plenitude, vast right-minded favor, increased force for the generous/aspiring, and constant safeguarding in svasti.
