द्यौष्पितः पृथिवि मातरध्रुगग्ने भ्रातर्वसवो मृळता नः । विश्व आदित्या अदिते सजोषा अस्मभ्यं शर्म बहुलं वि यन्त ॥
dyáuḥ pitáḥ pṛ́thivi mā́tar ádhru g ágne bhrātar vasavo mṛḷátā naḥ | víśva ādityā adite sajóṣā asmábhyaṃ śárma bahuláṃ ví yanta ||
สวรรค์เป็นบิดาของเรา แผ่นดินเป็นมารดาของเรา มั่นคงไม่เอนเอียง; อัคนีเป็นพี่น้องของเรา—โอ วาสุทั้งหลาย โปรดเมตตาเราเถิด. โอ อาทิตยะทั้งปวง โอ อทิติ ด้วยใจพร้อมเพรียงกัน จงแผ่ความสงบและที่พึ่งอันกว้างใหญ่แก่เรา เป็นความคุ้มครองหลายด้านเพื่อความเจริญงอกงามแห่งชีวิต.
