Sukta 6.38
तं वो धिया परमया पुराजामजरमिन्द्रमभ्यनूष्यर्कैः । ब्रह्मा च गिरो दधिरे समस्मिन्महाँश्च स्तोमो अधि वर्धदिन्द्रे ॥
táṃ vo dhiyā́ paramáyā purājā́m ájaram índram abhý anūṣy arkáiḥ | bráhmā ca gíro dadhiré sám asmin mahā́ṃś ca stómo ádhi vardhad índre ||
ดังนั้นเราทั้งหลายจึงด้วยปัญญาทัศนะอันสูงสุด (dhī) และด้วยบทสวดสรรเสริญ จึงติดตามและมุ่งเข้าไปหาอินทราผู้บังเกิดแต่กาลก่อน ผู้ไม่ชรา ในพระองค์นั้น วาจาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ (brahman) และถ้อยคำดลใจ (giras) ถูกตั้งไว้ร่วมกัน และบทสรรเสริญอันยิ่งใหญ่ย่อมงอกงามเหนืออินทรา
