असूत पूर्वो वृषभो ज्यायानिमा अस्य शुरुधः सन्ति पूर्वीः । दिवो नपाता विदथस्य धीभिः क्षत्रं राजाना प्रदिवो दधाथे ॥
ásūta pū́rvo vṛṣabhó jyā́yān imā́ asya śurúdhaḥ santi pūrvī́ḥ | dívo napātā vidáthasya dhībhíḥ kṣatráṁ rājānā prádivo dadhāthe ||
ผู้ที่บังเกิดก่อนคือโคผู้ (วฤษภะ) ผู้เป็นใหญ่ด้วยพลัง อันเก่าแก่ยิ่ง; สายน้ำแห่งฤทธิ์ของพระองค์มากมายนั้นเป็นปฐมกาล. โอ้กษัตริย์ทั้งสอง ผู้เป็นโอรสแห่งสวรรค์ ด้วยปัญญาทัศนะในพิธีบูชา ท่านทั้งสองทรงค้ำจุนเดชอำนาจกษัตริย์ (kṣatra) อันมาจากสวรรค์อันรุ่งเรือง.
