Sukta 3.31
स जातेभिर्वृत्रहा सेदु हव्यैरुदुस्रिया असृजदिन्द्रो अर्कैः । उरूच्यस्मै घृतवद्भरन्ती मधु स्वाद्म दुदुहे जेन्या गौः ॥
sá jā́tebhir vṛtrahā́ sedu havyaír úd usríyā asṛjad índro arkáiḥ | urū́cy asmai ghṛtávad bhárantī mádhu svā́dma duduhe jényā gáuḥ ||
ท่านผู้พิฆาตวฤตระ (Vṛtrahan) ประทับนั่งพร้อมด้วยเครื่องบูชาของพลังที่บังเกิดแล้ว; อินทราโดยบทสรรเสริญอันส่องประกาย (arka) ได้ปลดปล่อยโคผู้รุ่งเรืองออกไป เพื่อท่านนั้น ผู้ส่องสว่างกว้างไกลนำความอุดมอันชุ่มด้วยฆฤตะ (ghṛta) มา; โคผู้ประเสริฐรีดความหวานดุจน้ำผึ้งแห่งความรื่นรมย์ออกมา
