प्र सु व आपो महिमानमुत्तमं कारुर्वोचाति सदने विवस्वतः । प्र सप्तसप्त त्रेधा हि चक्रमुः प्र सृत्वरीणामति सिन्धुरोजसा ॥
prá su va ā́po mahimā́nam ut-tamáṃ kā́rur vocāti sádane vivásvataḥ | prá sapta-sapta tredhā́ hí cakramuḥ prá sṛ́tvarīṇām áti síndhur ójasā ||
ข้าพเจ้าขอประกาศ ณ สถานของวิวัสวัต (Vivasvat) ถึงความยิ่งใหญ่สูงสุดของท่านทั้งหลาย โอ้สายน้ำทั้งปวง. เจ็ดและเจ็ดได้เคลื่อนไปตามระเบียบสามชั้น; และสินธุ (Sindhu) ด้วยเรี่ยวแรงของตน ย่อมเหนือกว่าสายน้ำที่ไหลเชี่ยวทั้งหลาย—เป็นกระแสใหญ่ที่ครอบงำ เปี่ยมพลังรู้สึกตัว.
