Sukta 10.71
ऋचां त्वः पोषमास्ते पुपुष्वान्गायत्रं त्वो गायति शक्वरीषु । ब्रह्मा त्वो वदति जातविद्यां यज्ञस्य मात्रां वि मिमीत उ त्वः ॥
ṛcā́ṃ tvaḥ póṣam ā́ste pupuṣvā́n gāyatráṃ tvo gā́yati śákvarīṣu | brahmā́ tvo vádati jātavidyā́ṃ yajñásya mā́trāṃ ví mimīte u tvaḥ ||
ผู้หล่อเลี้ยงบทฤจ (ṛc) นั่งอยู่กับท่าน เพิ่มพูนให้เต็มเปี่ยม; คาถาไกยตรี (gāyatrī) ขับร้องท่านท่ามกลางฉันทลักษณ์ศักวรี (śakvarī). พราหมณ์ผู้ประกอบพิธี (brahmā) กล่าวแก่ท่านถึง “ความรู้แห่งการบังเกิด”; และเขาวัดกำหนดมาตราของยัญญะ (yajña) แบ่งสรรให้ถูกต้อง.
