प्र तार्यायुः प्रतरं नवीय स्थातारेव क्रतुमता रथस्य । अध च्यवान उत्तवीत्यर्थं परातरं सु निॠतिर्जिहीताम् ॥

prá tāri ā́yuḥ prá-taraṃ navī́yaḥ sthātā́rāiva krátu-matā ráthasya | ádha cyávāna útta-vītý árthaṃ parā́-taraṃ sú níḥ-ṛ́tiḥ jihītām ||

ขอจงนำอายุชีวิตของเราก้าวไปข้างหน้า สู่ความก้าวไกลยิ่งขึ้น อันใหม่สดเสมอ ดุจสารถีผู้มั่นคงแห่งรถศึก ด้วยพลังแห่งเจตจำนงรู้เท่าทัน (krátu) แล้วเมื่อเคลื่อนไปข้างหน้า ขอให้เราบรรลุเป้าหมายอันสูงกว่า และขอให้นิรฤติ (Nirṛti—พลังแห่งความสลาย) ถอยห่างไปไกล
