दीर्घं ह्यङ्कुशं यथा शक्तिं बिभर्षि मन्तुमः । पूर्वेण मघवन्पदाजो वयां यथा यमो देवी जनित्र्यजीजनद्भद्रा जनित्र्यजीजनत् ॥

Transliteration

dīrgháṃ hí aṅkuśáṃ yáthā śáktiṃ bíbharṣi mantu-maḥ | pūrvéṇa maghavan padā́jó vayā́ṃ yáthā yamó devī́ janítrī ajī́janad bhadrā́ janítrī ajī́janat ||

Translation

ดุจผู้ถือขอช้าง (aṅkuśa) อันยาว ฉันใด ท่าน—โอ้พลังแห่งความอุดมอันสว่างไสว—ย่อมทรงไว้ซึ่งฤทธิ์อันได้ผลที่ชี้นำ ฉันนั้น. โอ้มฆวาน (Maghavan) ผู้ประทานทรัพย์ โดยหนทางดึกดำบรรพ์ ขอให้เราก้าวไปข้างหน้าด้วยแรงผลักดันอันไม่หวั่นไหว; ดุจยามะ (Yama) เคยวางทางไว้ฉันใด ขอให้มารดาผู้ให้กำเนิด (Janitrī) อันเป็นเทพ บังเกิดกำเนิดอันเป็นมงคล และบังเกิดอีก—มารดาผู้เป็นมงคลย่อมบังเกิด.
